Cloud Services Leaders | The IaaS Platform Providers

Cloud Services Leaders | The IaaS Platform Providers

Companies and Enterprises are adapting ways to improve business operations. As more & more businesses are making a transition into cloud-based infrastructure, the migration from legacy to the cloud has become a massive trend.

Cloud computing can bolster the growth of your business and provide many other benefits.

Cloud Infrastructure is crucial as it allows larger storage, networking resources, and computing power. It allows flexibility in business operations and real-time expansion. Infrastructure-as-a-service, also known as IaaS platforms presents a business with many value-added services.

There are many IaaS providers however in this blog, we talk about the famous four.

  • AWS
  • Google
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Alibaba

AWS

The industry giant AWS leads the chart with a massive difference. Amazon’s AWS offers the most holistic cloud services. It offers an array of services at a much lesser price as compared to the other vendors. It has a strong customer base in SMBs and new economy businesses. Similar to that of Alibaba and Microsoft, AWS also partners with SAP, in addition to Salesforce and Workday among many others. AWS is strong on data as it has an exclusive pool of data focusing on consumer behaviour.

Google

Google ranks number 2 in terms of its cloud services. It offers integrated cloud computing services which include machine learning, big data, storage and databases, security, and networking. As compared to other cloud computing vendors, google deals with more open-source software. Google’s cloud computing services are a fine example that shows the open-source model can be successful. Google’s cloud computing services are perfect for smaller businesses who aim at rapid growth and expansion.

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft is no more limited to application stack but has expanded its wing to IaaS stack with Azure. Its ability to use its own stack to streamline workloads as well as extend its own cloud services to other customers, companies makes it powerful. Azure is perfect for large enterprises and can run massive workloads. Many data centers, companies, and businesses use Azure as their cloud infrastructure. Azure excels its competitors as it is available worldwide. Most small businesses (SMBs) prefer Azure as it is easy to integrate into the system. Azure also partners with SAP and Adobe.

Alibaba

Alibaba is new on the block in the cloud computing sector. With its homeland in China, the company is expanding its footprint across the globe. Slowly but gradually Alibaba is taking calculated steps in offering its cloud service to the world. Its partnership with SAP has brought in massive credibility to its name. Although Alibaba is still in a nascent position as compared to the other tech giants, it is a competitor to watch out for!

To conclude, AWS is undoubtedly the leader of the pack. However, other players like Microsoft and Google can’t be ignored. Alibaba is taking slow yet very steady steps in spreading its roots in the market. In this clash of tech giants, one thing is for certain and that is constant innovation and competitive price models. It’s a cut-throat competitive world and for small biz or large enterprises everyone aims to have their game on point!
